The Soul2Self Method

Discover what makes the Soul2Self Method different, and how science informed approaches to the subconscious mind, identity, and the nervous system can help create lasting transformation.

Most personal development focuses on changing your thoughts, your actions, or your habits.

At Soul2Self, I work a little differently.

I believe that lasting transformation happens when we explore the patterns underneath those thoughts and behaviours. The subconscious beliefs you've developed, the emotional patterns you've learned, the way your nervous system has adapted to protect you, and the identity you've come to believe is simply "who you are

When those deeper patterns begin to change, confidence, self trust, relationships, decisions, and the way you experience life often begin to change with them.

My role isn't to give you another temporary burst of motivation.

It's to help you create the kind of internal change that continues long after the coaching session has finished.

Why We Repeat The Same Patterns

If creating lasting change was simply about knowing what to do, most of us would already be living the lives we want.

Most people already know they should be more confident, stop overthinking, set boundaries, trust themselves more, or let go of old experiences. The challenge isn't usually a lack of knowledge.

The challenge is that our brains are designed to favour what feels familiar.

Every experience we have, from childhood through to adulthood, helps shape the beliefs we hold about ourselves, other people, and the world around us. Those beliefs gradually become patterns that influence our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, expectations, and even the choices we make without realising it.

The more often those patterns are repeated, the more automatic they become. After a while, they no longer feel like patterns at all. They simply feel like who we are.

That is why so many people find themselves repeating the same relationships, struggling with the same self doubt, procrastinating over the same goals, or feeling stuck in the same emotional cycles, even when they desperately want something different.

Real transformation isn't about forcing yourself to behave differently. It's about understanding the patterns that have been running beneath the surface and creating new ones that support the life you actually want to live.

Why Your Brain Notices Some Things and Misses Others

Have you ever decided to buy a particular car, only to suddenly notice it everywhere? Or learnt a new word and then started hearing it all the time?

The world hasn't suddenly changed. Your brain has simply started paying attention to something that was already there.

One of the ways it does this is through a network called the Reticular Activating System (RAS). Every second, your brain is exposed to an overwhelming amount of information. The RAS helps filter that information by deciding what deserves your attention and what can be ignored.

One of the ways it makes those decisions is by looking at what you've repeatedly learned to believe is important or true.

If, over time, you've come to believe that you're not good enough, that people can't be trusted, or that success is for other people, your brain naturally becomes more likely to notice experiences that reinforce those beliefs.

Not because those beliefs are facts, but because they're familiar.

The encouraging part is that this works both ways.

As your beliefs begin to change, your brain starts recognising different opportunities, different evidence, and different possibilities that may have been there all along but previously went unnoticed.

This doesn't mean we ignore reality or pretend challenges don't exist. It means we begin seeing a fuller picture, rather than one that's filtered through old expectations.

Why Change Is Possible

One of the most empowering things I ever learned was that our brains are not fixed.

For a long time, I believed my past had permanently shaped who I was. I thought the anxiety, self doubt, overthinking and patterns I'd developed were simply part of my personality.

They weren't.

Research has shown that the brain has the ability to change throughout our lives. This is known as neuroplasticity. Every time we learn something new, practise a different way of thinking, experience new emotions, or repeatedly respond differently to situations, the brain begins creating and strengthening new neural pathways.

In simple terms, the pathways we use most often become stronger, while those we stop using gradually become weaker.

This doesn't mean change happens overnight. Lasting transformation comes through repetition, consistency, and creating experiences that teach both your brain and your nervous system that a different way of living is possible.

That's why I don't believe you're limited by your past. Your experiences may have shaped your patterns, but they don't have to define your future.

Why Every Session Is Different

No two people have lived the same life, so no two people need exactly the same approach.

Some people need to change long-held beliefs about themselves. Others need support calming an overwhelmed nervous system. Some find themselves repeating emotional patterns they don't fully understand, while others are struggling to move forward because their brain is still holding on to old experiences.

That's why every session is tailored to you.

Rather than relying on one technique, I combine a range of evidence informed approaches, including identity transformation, subconscious reprogramming, nervous system regulation, Eye Movement Processing, Meridian Tapping, guided visualisation, embodiment practices and transformational coaching.

Each approach has a different purpose, but they all work towards the same goal: helping you create meaningful internal change that naturally influences the way you think, feel, respond and experience your life.

Because lasting transformation isn't about becoming somebody else.

It's about letting go of the patterns that have been keeping you from becoming more fully yourself.
